Alicia and Josh’s wedding day felt like it was stitched right into the fabric of Pepin’s hillsides. Hidden Meadow & Barn isn’t the kind of place that feels like a venue—it feels like stepping into a quiet corner of the Midwest that’s been waiting for you all along.
They started the morning at the Farmhouse, a 1918 home tucked on the property. It’s cozy, creaky in the best way, and filled with little spots of charm. Coffee mugs clinked in the kitchen while makeup brushes swept across cheeks upstairs. There was a calm, lived-in kind of comfort that set the tone for the day.
The ceremony took place in the meadow, where tall grass swayed and the stained-glass church windows at the altar caught the light just right. When it came time to celebrate, everyone gathered in the dining area. It’s rustic but not fussy—string lights, farmhouse tables, and open sides that let the summer air roll through. Guests spilled outside for lawn games and, later, circled around a fire as the night grew darker. It felt less like a staged reception and more like a gathering that could’ve lasted for days if time allowed.
The whole day had this mix of intention and ease. Just two tattoo artists who built a life together, surrounded by people who know them best, in a setting that matched their pace—real, grounded, and quietly stunning.
